With the sawmill secure, the group discussed their plans going forward. The hunters, led by Orkold, agreed to head back to Whiteridge with the party after securing all of the equipment from the sawmill.   Back at home, Valerie was approached by the strange group of kobolds who kept calling her “Tin” and a new kobold named Tala gave her gifts. Aubrin took Sumoni and decided to do a brief bit of scouting and gathering of herbs, but otherwise the ruins remained safe   With the help of Thetas new floating disk, the group loaded a lot of logs and equipment onto the sleds and proceeded back. While the trek out of the forest was difficult, they made it into the flat-lands safely. While on the return trip, in the distance could be spotted a group of cavalry that was approaching. It was clear they would be overcome before night fell, so the group quickly found a secure location filled with old ruins to bottleneck them if attacked.   The cavalry were flying a banner of a mirrored crow, one that was recognized as the humans who attacked the village. They approached cautiously and once within range Shane led the assault. One of their number was knocked unconscious and his horse slain, the rest fled   WIth night rapidly approaching, the riders set up camp nearby. Deciding they wouldn’t be able to outlast the group, they sent Honey to negotiate. The riders gave honey a small amount of gold as a gesture of goodwill with the promise of two of the parties leaders meeting with two of theirs, as well as an exchange of the prisoner. The group agreed, Hilda decided to go lay down in the field where they planned to meet. Unfortunately for her the cav sent a group forward and captured her, thinking double-play was afoot. She didn’t resist and is now tied up in their camp   Finally the groups sent emissaries and negotiated. They said they were working for the hand and in return for providing cavalry support, they are promised part of these lands in the future. They were unwilling to fight against them because they have the support of a dragon. However they were not hostile, and offered to bring a small group back to Camp and show them around in an effort to further diplomacy.
