With fresh vigor the group set off to explore the rest of the mysterious dwarven ruins. Up the stairs the group came to what appeared to be an old armory, and while it contained little useful gear, there was a magical shield in the corner. The kobolds expressed fear of it, but Valerie seemed to have a strange innate connection to it. Even after attuning to the Kings Shield, it allowed Valerie a minor power but seemed to conceal much of its power from her   Deciding to double back, the party cleared out some rubble to a barricaded room and were beset by zombies! While not particularly difficult foes, the broken glass on the ground made the room difficult to traverse. Scattered amongst the rubble Valerie discovered a strange device. It appeared to have a sort of display that showed ancient dwarven, and while it was difficult to read it seemed to be a spell of some sorts.   The next room contained even more oddities. A large, tube shaped container had a mysterious cylinder power source at its base. There were also another data pad that contained even more spells, though many were damaged. With time and effort they could possibly be interpreted, though being in ancient dwarven added another layer of difficulty to it   When the power cylinder was removed, a large undead construct burst through and attacked the party. It got a painful hit off on Valerie, and began to incorporate her into its form. Thinking quickly, Nysany stepped in to stabilize her before the party struck the killing blow, but the creature exploded and took her out of the fight. With half the group on the ground unconscious, everyone decided to barricade themselves in and hope for an uninterrupted rest.   The group continued south and found a room filled with mushrooms overlooking the one below. A broken pipe was feeding water into the basin. To the north was a walkway that overlooked the large gears and lava pit. Here the group found another of the strange terminals, one that appeared to have a spot to insert the tube that Val had been carrying around. When inserted, it revealed and enormous hologram of a planet. After tinkering with the device for awhile, the party continued on and saw the ogre across the way. He seemed concerned the party was going to steal his treasure, but Valerie convinced him that she would make him armor and they would leave them alone, so he decided to head back downstairs.   There was also a dead body on the walkway, though not identifiable he had a magical amulet, basic gear and some armor on him that Glin took. Continuing on, the party found a massive telescope and a set of water pipes with valves, but decided it best to not experiment with those yet. The last room contained more broken terminals and other fanciful mechanical devices as well as one of the little lightning lizards
