05 - 02/17/25 : Tea Party

Snow awoke early for her morning exercise routine. As Ezri was still asleep when Snow finished, the Tiefling decided to try her hand at making breakfast for herself and her companion. She found herself to be quite skilled at it, treating her usually dour companion to a pleasant morning. While they were eating, Ezri's lantern started to move on its own, causing Ezri to snap at the object.   During their meal, Arwyn greeted the party and informed them that he had confirmed the location of Snow's ley line. He explained that it was not near any town this time, and would require several days' travel to reach. As he was preparing to leave, Snow offered him some food, which the headmaster graciously accepted.   After breakfast, Ezri returned to her room, to have a private conversation with a fairy that she let out of her lantern. Intrigued by the sounds of conversation coming from her companion while alone in her room, Snow took the opportunity to eavesdrop. The fairy complained to Ezri about being bored by the gnome's passivity. As Snow continued listening in, she accidentally put too much weight on Ezri's door, pushing it open and stumbling into the room. With the secret out, Ezri introduced Snow to Eo Nee. Eo Nee explained that she acted as a source for some of Ezri's magic. Ezri made Snow swear to secrecy over her fairy associate and promised to let Eo Nee out more often.   Snow tried to convince Ezri that they should get going to Snow's ley line immediately, but Ezri's caution won out and they agreed to take some time to learn from their professors before heading into danger. Before beginning their day of study, Bellbrexilden arrived in the dorms to tell Ezri the good news that he had weaponized her blood. He gave her the Wand of Whimsy, which was quickly renamed to the Wand of Fucking People Over as it promised to give the target some of Ezri's wild magic problems. He also relayed that he believed with proper training, Ezri would be able to make these lesser wands herself, and excused himself to return to his research.   The duo began their training by visiting Cirella, and she started working with each of the mages' interests. Cirella taught Ezri to channel her anger into her spells to make them harder to resist. At the same time, she tried teaching Snow to better channel her cantrips, but she had a bit of trouble finding a teaching method that worked for the more physically minded of the two. In the evening, Snow trained with The Golem to channel her magic into her weapon strikes, while Ezri watched from afar.   Over the next few days, training with Cirella and The Golem continued. Eventually, Ezri broke off from watching Snow train, instead requesting that Bellbrexilden teach her how to use jeweler's tools. Snow quickly finished learning The Golem's new technique, and began to hone the lessons his lessons and improve on them. After a few days work, Ezri and Snow both mastered their lessons from Cirella, and Ezri had learned the art of the jeweler.   During one evening of their training, Ezri decided to meet up with Zana, feeling as though they had something in common with magic they couldn't control. She asked Zana about when her visions started, to which she responded that she had always seen visions as far as she could remember. She was hoping to get better control over the visions and more clarity on what was likely to occur. The subject of the accuracy of her many visions of doom caused Zana to withdraw slightly, but she perked up when Ezri asked her to read her fortune. Zana asked for a specific question to focus on and Ezri asked to see if there was a way out of a present, very bad situation. Zana agreed to the question but warned that it would likely be vague if she didn't know exactly what she was focusing on, which Ezri decided was fine. Zana read Ezri's tea leaves and was lost in a trance for several moments. When she came out of it, she informed Ezri of the dangers she saw in her near future: a pit of spikes and a violent green hand. She also answered Ezri question with a vision of a spark flying off of a larger flame.   Ezri returned to the dorm and spoke with Snow about what Zana had seen, as well as the possibility of starting some kind of book club, before the two turned in for the night.
Ezri Flickerwick - A gnome sorceror with wild, untamed magic. She seeks control of both her own magic as well as the power gained from a mysterious source. She has no ambitions for greatness and just wants to control her magic to live a normal life.
Snow - A tiefling with a history of martial combat. She started to develop a natural skill for magic and now seeks to master this ability as she does with the weapons she wields.
Eo Nee - Ezri's sprite familiar and the overseer of some of Ezri's magic. She lives for the drama and excitement and is endlessly bored by Ezri.
Arwyn Halliwell - A human wizard studying Ley Lines at Everlight. He was chosen to be the headmaster, mostly because he was the only one willing to put in work to organize the school.
Numblestump Bellbrexilden - A deep gnome artificer whose brain has been implanted into a mechanical body. He teaches at Everlight while pursuing his own artificery research.
Cirella the Phantom Eye - A half-elf witch who studies ways to heighten the power of spellcasters. She desires to bring out the potential hidden in her students.
The Golem - A human wizard who's study involves perfecting the body in concert with the mind.
Zana - A human divination wizard with a penchant of foreseeing the worst possible outcomes.
