Ourania Oscadottir
In the northern mountains of the Stonelands, multiple flocks (clans) of Airborne reside, united in times of tension or strife under one Herald. Herald Osca serves as a prophet to the people, seeking to predict the course of future Drow treachery to ensure his people’s safety and some manner of prosperity. When an invitation to Mal Korvian was received, Ourania – daughter of Osca – was elected to represent the interests of the Northern Airborne. Although chosen for her position close to Osca, the young Ourania is unseasoned and untested, being thrown into the lion’s den of Mal Korvian.
As she stands in the halls of the Drow Embassy, there is a sense of manufactured bravado around her; she rolls her shoulders back perhaps an inch too much and flairs her feathers a bit too frequently. When she engages with figures of import, her political “mask” is slow to form, allowing a hint of her true feelings and intentions to be seen before her composure conceals them. Behind her sweet chirping and puffed bravado, Ourania is nervous and suspicious of everyone… and she has reason to be. Her invitation was official, yet unsigned, and the Drow have a lengthy history of betraying the Airborne. However, her nerves are not derived of fear of the Drow, but of failing her people. Ourania is well aware that Drow infighting is one of the main reasons her people have not suffered more beneath the Earthen Drow. If the rumors are true that Mal Kerrym has a member of the Obsidian Company, then Ourania cannot afford to make the wrong move… for her peoples’ sake.
