Elysia

The Death-Touched

Walking the faintly smog-covered streets of Ah'Shal's city, Elysia stands out among the hunched and sunken forms of the factory city's working class populace. Toned and tall, she stands with confidence and often travels with a small entourage of reformed "Bounty Hunters", each always equipped for a fight. On an initial glance, Elysia appears like a standard – albeit tall – tiefling woman: blue-gray skin, curled gray horns, pointed ears, and a tail. However, when she steps into the shady lighting of the Bounty Bowl or any other establishment in the city, her companions cast shadows, while she does not. And beneath her garb, her left arm is death-touched – a darkened discolored gray from her fingertips to halfway up her bicep. And her right arm is covered in chaotic and volatile patterns that shift from flame, to ice, to sparks, to light, and to death.

Within the City, the locals consider her their champion, heir to the many before her who managed to kickstart change in a city long oppressed. But to the Overlords who still cling to power, they have wielded their influence to paint her as a volatile and violent child waving about a power she cannot control in pursuit of lofty ambitions. The Overlords are not... entirely wrong. Elysia has not mastered the state of her right arm; it shifts of its own volition through various states and when both her arms align in a necrotic state, she can kill a humanoid with a simple touch. In truth, Elysia recognizes the danger her lack of control poses, but she's not about to sit around and wait to master gifts she may never fully control. That's what the Overlords WANT her to do. There are people who need inspiration; who need her to take up the mantle of the heroes who came before.
