The van Brinkerhoff Scuttling

4th Ashonmune, 1257

• Tord tells me that a van Brinkerhoff ship was scuttled in the harbour, causing a blockade and a great deal of ire from other merchants. The Kroonvelds deny involvement. Rumour has it that Henrick is looking to hire mercenaries to protect his shipments, but accepting such a job could draw the ire of the Grey Sails.
• Quartz wants information on what the Outer City folks are saying about this incident. There has been a shouting match in the Courts about it, but she knows nothing about what the Outer City knows.
• Egan says that the Grey Sails are getting antsy about all the thugs in their territory after this incident. He hints that getting involved with the mercenary job there might draw their attention, unless I speak with them about it first.
• Egan also said that Simon Lawson, an independent investigator, was looking into the incident, but evidence and reports are being suppressed.

6th Ashonmune, 1257

• Chase has told me that Henrick van Brinkerhoff was personally at the docks, as well as a prissy blonde Elf woman who was asking questions
• Chase also said that van Brinkerhoff was going on about what was on the ship, but none of the things he's mentioning are actually showing up, either as flotsam or in stolen goods locations...

7th Ashonmune, 1257

• Mister Rhogar mentioned that Vasco had someone on the Council. It also seems that van Brinkerhoff may have links with Ingrid Kazhir, as Ruger's description of her matches the woman Chase mentioned at the docks. I am wondering if perhaps Hendrick van Brinkerhoff is linked to Vasco's smuggling operations, and the cargo wasn't actually what was on the manifest, but something much more sinister
