Zombifacation

Transmission & Vectors

The 1st wave got infected overnight, it only effected 1/3rd of the population. The Afflicted were catatonic for three days and by the third day they began wandering and hunting.

Symptoms

  • Fever
  • exhaustion
  • cravings of raw meat
  • Infection
  • dehydration
  • hallucinations and delusions
  • difficulty speaking
  • Adrenalin rushes
  • loss of feeling
  • Rapid loss of weight
  • loss of cognitive ability
  • loss of fine motor skills
  • blood clotting
  • Prosopagnosia (face blindness)
  • Pain
  • easy bruising

Treatment

There is no cure at this time. You can treat the symptoms, up until they become constant and extreme. Then the afflicted become overly contagious.

If there is a fear of contamination, sanitizing is urgent. Burn the clothes, cut the hair, flush the eyes, rebandage any cuts, and bathe in hot water. Sanitize any way you can and hope for the best.

If there is a fear of a infected wound, immediate sterilization is needed. Put a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and to stop the illness from spreading throughout the body, do whatever you can to clean the wound. Alcohol? Iodine? Boiled water? Hydrogen Peroxide? Fire? What ever you have works, even though it most likely a lost cause.

Prognosis

Stage 1: Contact. You come in contact with the original cascade of zombies or newly turned zombies. Nothing usually begins for a few hours.

Stage 2: Fever begins, and there is a likelihood for infection in certain cases. Exhaustion is common, though some keep acting normal until the "Can Only Scream from Pain and Fear stage."

Stage 3: intermittent pain, dehydration, blood clotting and rapid loss of weight begin (or begin showing).

Stage 4: Difficulty speaking, Hallucinations and delusions, become apparent. Pain begins to be regular and worse, and extreme bruising is common.

Stage 5: loss of fine motor skills and loss of cognitive ability. Loss of feeling is also common, for example, one account said "We had to keep [the afflicted] away from fires because she would be unable to feel the heat and burn herself without truly realizing it. When we were still traveling [the afflicted] cut her hand on something, and it was a big cut, but we didn't know about it until we were checking her before bed."

Stage 6: They have experiences a kin to adrenalin rushes and they experience Prosopagnosia (face blindness). They begin to be violent and crave raw meat. They begin to be contagious around this time.

Affected Groups

Humans are the only ones affected by zombification.

Hosts & Carriers

If bury the afflicted incorrectly you can have contaminated plants, and contaminated water. Clothing worn by the undead, and objects that repeatedly come in contact with zombification.

The better way to dispose their bodies are though cremation, desinigration, and vultures.

Prevention

You can prevent Zombifacation by wearing masks, washing all that usually comes in contact with them.
