The Temptation

Scholar’s Treasure

Our scribes penned wisdom long before Neverwinter was raised from stone. Here are fragments of that age: a pearl that remembers spells, a vial that drinks light where none should be, and pages that whisper what the drowned still know. Yours, if you will help me calm the storm.

Spectral Codex Fragment of Thalyss

A few translucent pages from the spellbook of Thalyss the Deep-Scribe, its script endlessly writing and erasing itself.

Pearl of Arcane Recall – A pearl that pulses with inner light and whispers half-heard incantations when pressed to the ear.

Vial of Luminous Depths – A crystalline vial filled with bioluminescent water where no light should exist, its glow like stars swimming in glass.

Hunter’s Arsenal

The tide teaches silence, swiftness, and strike. These tools belonged to those who prowled wrecks and reefs, hunters who stole from drowned vaults and never missed their prey. They are old, yes, but the sea does not forget their craft. Will you take them, and be counted among our allies?

Lockpicks of the Sunken Vaults – Coral-bone tools etched with silver spirals, never tarnished by sea or salt, once belonging to drowned temple-raiders.

Boots of the Silent Swimmer – Sharkskin and eel-hide boots that leave no ripple in water or footprint on land.

Harpoon of the Hunt

A barbed bone javelin lashed to a dissolving cord, vanishing and reappearing with the tide’s pull.

Sacred Relics

Faith drifts even to the deep. Once, Moradin’s hammer was carried here by dwarves who never saw the surface again. Once, our tidecallers healed with weapons that struck and soothed in one breath. These relics remain, waiting for hands that honor oath and service. Yours, if you will bind our fates to one tide.

Trident of the Merciful Tide

A silvered coral weapon that radiates warmth, said to heal as surely as it strikes.

Seal of the Soul Forger – A mithral amulet shaped like Moradin’s hammer, tarnishless despite centuries lost beneath the waves.

.

Ring of Buoyant Defense – A pale coral band set with a bubble of frozen air that never bursts, drifting back to its bearer like a loyal tide.

Shadow’s Gifts

There are gifts the sun fears to see. Coral that grows in shadow, cloth dipped in abyssal ink, plates of reef that hum with tide’s hunger. They were made for duelists, assassins, survivors — those who walk between light and dark. If such is your path, these can be yours.

Shadowcoral Wraps – Dark fibers shifting between slick stone and living kelp, worn in ritual duels beneath moonlit waves.

Cloak of the Twilight Current – A kelp-and-ink cloak that ripples like water, trailing faint bubbles when it moves.

Bracers of Tidal Resilience – Overlapping coral plates, warm as if alive, humming faintly with the strength of the tide.

Shared Gift (temptation for the whole party)

Even far from our walls, the tide may carry your voices back to us. These stones are old as the first council. If you would call us allies, I will place them in your hands.
  • Sending Stone Pair – Polished pearly stones that are always faintly damp, carrying not only voices but the soft echo of tides.
