The Keeper’s Song - Song of the Beacon

Remembered by Vespera Rue Noctwyn taught by her parents after reading the The Graytower Beacon Caretaker's Journal

The Keeper’s Song (Song of the Beacon)

(Suggested rhythm similar to "Scarborough Fair")

Verse 1:
Wake, old light, the sea is rising,
Wake, bright tower, dawn draws near.
Lift your eyes, resume your vigil—
Hold the shadows, guard the pier.

Verse 2:
Guard the gates where dreams lie sleeping,
Steel your heart against the tide.
Shine for those who walk in darkness,
Keep the night and fear outside.

Verse 3:
Wake, old light, the path is calling,
Wake, bright tower, stand once more.
Turn your gaze through storm and sorrow—
Hold the threshold, bar the door.

Effect:
When Rue (or any who knows the song) sings this before the newly-restored beacon and makes the check, the mythal responds—old runes flare, the orrery begins to spin, and a beam of light cuts through the dusk. The protective field is restored, and the players feel the ancient power settle into place.
