Plasael Malion
History
Elven Migration and Separation
During the initial migration of the first elves down the Envalcir River, they came to the first major bend in the river and decided to make camp to explore the Great Plains that stretched before them. This region was unlike the mountainous areas that they originated from; it stretched as far as the eye could see, brimming with wildlife that the early Elves found fascinating. After a few years' sojourn, Mauri felt a call to continue the journey, and while the majority of the Elves were quick to follow her, roughly two hundred of them decided that they wanted to stay behind, having fallen in love with the plains. These elves were the original Plasael Malion or Plains Elves.
Early History and Original Settlements
These original settlers migrated further south and found a lake with ample water, where they established their original camp. Over the next few centuries, their population slowly grew, aided by the lake's pure water and the abundance of animals that provided sustenance for the elves. An early population boom brought the number of elves to nearly 1,000 within the first 500 years. Due to this, the first split in the Plasael Malion occurred before the Maiden returned for the first time in the year 546 to reconnect with her children.
Disbandment
Continued Expansion
The population continued to grow, reaching nearly 16,000 by the end of the second millennium, providing enough people for the formation of new tribes throughout the plains. The Elves began to spread out throughout the plains, and the technology level made communication difficult. This led to the creation of different factions.
