Aura Sense

It has been noted that individuals throughout history have possessed a sixth sense, an ability to detect or "see" magic around them, regardless of whether an Eldrin or an Aethil causes it. This has been decreased as a sense or vibe about magic around them, with varying levels of strength involved.

All individuals gifted with Aura Sight possess the ability to sense the general presence of magic. However, many lower-level practitioners have been noted as not being able to distinguish between different types of magic. Those with a more powerful sight can differentiate between which type of being caused the magic and what type of magic (elemental, relic, scar) the energy around them is.

A few additional variations have been noted.

1. Elemental Sight - These are far more sensitive to Elementals and other element-based magic around them.
2. Relic Sight - The rarest variation, those with this type are extremely sensitive to the magic encased in relics, and with the proper training, are about to determine the purpose of a relic at a glance.
3. Patron Sight - These individuals are sensitive to magic caused by the Eldrin of their species. For Elves, it is the Mauri, for Dwarves it is Krouin, and for Humans it is Kelenor.
4. Anti-Sight - This has only been recorded during the Great Storm, where certain individuals were able to see and predict the antimatter magic of the Fallen.

While scholars have tried to narrow down the origins of this ability, there has been no discernible rhyme or reason. It has appeared in Elves, Humans, and Dwarves, and among multiple family lines. To complicate it further, it often skips around generations.
