Writer's Ramble - November 2025
November’s been… a lot.
I didn’t mean to vanish for a bit, but life has a way of throwing the kind of curveballs you can’t really sidestep. It’s been a heavy month here — long days, harder nights, and a few moments that knocked the wind out of me more than I expected. Most of my energy went into keeping things steady at home, and by the time I finally sat down to write, the tank was empty.
I also had to say goodbye to someone very dear to me — a tiny, stubborn little heartbeat who’d been by my side for over a decade. That loss hit far harder than I expected, and I’m still working through the quiet space it left behind. Some days I’m steady. Some days I’m not. But I’m getting there.
Where Things Stand Creatively
Even with the chaos, the stories haven’t left me alone.
Most of my recent focus has been on the light novel rewrite — tightening the voice, smoothing the pacing, and getting everything ready for its HoneyFeed release. I want a good buffer of chapters prepared ahead of time so the updates stay regular once it launches.
As a little treat: I’ll be posting the first four chapters here on The Last Home as a preview. That should give everyone a proper taste of the tone, the energy, and the absolutely questionable holiday decisions made by certain Maids.
WorldEmber Is Coming
And with WorldEmber just around the corner I’m planning to take part again this year.
Honestly? I think it’ll help. Having a focused, structured event is exactly the sort of nudge I need to get back into a proper writing rhythm. I’ve already got a few article ideas simmering, so expect some fresh lore as we dive into December.
Thank You
To everyone who reads, follows, comments, or quietly keeps an eye on updates — thank you. Your patience and kindness mean more than you realise. I might go quiet now and then, but I’m still here, still writing, still keeping the Inn’s lantern lit.
Closing Thoughts
So yes — November has been rough, and I’ve been a bit absent, but the gears are turning again. Between the light novel preview, the HoneyFeed launch, and WorldEmber breathing down my neck, there’s plenty on the horizon.
One word at a time — we’ll get there.

What Is HoneyFeed?
HoneyFeed is an online platform dedicated to original light novels, run by the same team behind MyAnimeList.
Writers publish their chapters for free, and readers can follow along, comment, and support the stories they enjoy.
Think of it as a place built specifically for:
- anime-style fiction
- isekai, fantasy, drama, romance
- web novel serials
- weekly or monthly chapter releases
- readers who already love the sort of storytelling The Last Home leans into
It’s basically a home for people who enjoy the same blend of anime chaos, heartfelt moments, and larger-than-life characters that the Legendary Maids embody.
Why I’m Publishing There
I’ve decided to publish the Legendary Maids light novel on HoneyFeed because:
- It’s a platform made for light-novel style writing
- It reaches readers who actively seek anime-inspired stories
- It gives the series a proper serial home outside World Anvil
- It lets new people discover The Last Home
- And… honestly?
It motivates me.
Having a scheduled release platform helps me keep writing consistently.
The first four chapters will still appear here on WA as a preview, but HoneyFeed will be the story’s main public release.
“Your continued reading is more valuable than coin. However, the author assures me that Ko-Fi support assists in ‘keeping the kettle on.’ I am told this is a metaphor. I remain unconvinced.” — Seraphis Nightvale Ko-Fi: #madmooncrow

I wondered where you'd gone. Glad to see you back!
