Council of Magic

The Council of Magic was an organization before the fall that governed most uses of magic. They helped regulate the various magic schools and created rules over what magic was taboo and what wasn't. They mostly stayed out of politics, although there have been instances where they were forced to act. During the fall of the world, most members of the Council of Magic died. Little is known about what happened to them, as wielders of the arcane as strong as them shouldn't have fallen so easily to the common monsters that overwhelmed the world.
