Hastguay Island
Hastguay is a remote, crescent-shaped island located far from known coastlines and unmarked on most maps. Lush rainforest interiors, volcanic peaks, glowing tidepools, and angular obsidian cliffs. Strange stone monoliths dot the interior, inscribed with unreadable text.
900 Hastguene natives, people with reflective bronze-toned skin, ink-black hair, and bright, opalescent eyes. They wear flowing sea-silk garments and decorate their skin with glowing white tattoos in complex swirling patterns — possibly phonetic or ceremonial in nature.
The island is surrounded by a magical field that scrambles teleportation and translation magic. Scrying fails completely inside the island perimeter. Local legends claim the island is protected by an ancient silence pact with a forgotten god.
