Dhutchmons
These creatures are more recently discovered. It all started when one had emerged from the coast line of a small fishing town called Scalemouth. They don't speak in Elvish so at first it was hard to understand him, after a while the townsfolk taught the one to talk by pointing and doing actions to convey speech. Half a week went by and the Dhutchmon started to suffocate so they took him back to sea. Once there he quickly swam off. About a week later him and multiple other Dhutchmons arrived on the coast, now knowing how to communicate with others from the first.
Their body can store water in their body for half a week, afterwards they must submerge themselves in water again. That is why they tend to live around coastal areas.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Made from aquatic materials such as seaweed, sand, coral, fish, and moldy wood from ships. They typically have fish/sea creatures for heads for eating and also stomachs for digesting
Genetics and Reproduction
Males eject their reproductive juice into the water. When a female comes along she ejects her eggs into the reproductive juice. When an egg becomes fertilized it will find the closest thing nearby and attach to it. Over 5 months the egg would be pulling aquatic material to it to form a body.
Growth Rate & Stages
When they are born, the size that is made is the size that they will have for life. In water they age slower than they do when on land. When they die, the material for then disperse/fall apart.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They hunt for small aquatic creatures that they feast on. They also eat kelp and seaweed.
