While it might seem to be just a tiger covered in fur, what you see is the actual skeleton of the tiger.

Genetics and Reproduction

Like other bone marrow animals, they reproduce by claiming a piece of bone marrow on the corpse by dying on it with their mate, and that offspring is a mix of those genetics and the new bone marrow.
