During the Emerald Death, a plague that ravished the world in ancient times, the elven city of Orkthallor was direly hit with this deadly disease. Seeking a cure they captured humans and began experimrenting to see what made the humans have a better survival rate. In the end the discovered a way to imbue themselves with human strength. However, one of their own magi was disgusted with what he believed was the corruption of elven purity and leveled a curse upon the now hybrid elves. The curse shifted the hybridisation to the human side, removing their long lives (but incidentally increasing their fertility), corrupted their links to magical bloodlines and turned their skin green as a reminder of what they once were.   In the many generations since, orcs have largely forgotten their past, and become a strong folk who value honour and power. Like humans they are quite varied, but their imposing physiques, green skin and tempers unite them.

Preferred Environment: Varies Greatly.
Average Height: 1.8m - 2.3m.
Average Build: Varies Greatly.
Skin Colours: Various shades of green, yellow and brown.
Hair Colours: Black, brown, white (and many shades between).
Eye Colours: Blue, brown, hazel, green, yellow and red (and many shades between).
Notable Traits: Orcs are remarkably resistant to disease.
