Session Report 028: In Which We Return to Normalcy in Redtower

Wherein Exposition Occurs

  The Shadow Fey keep to their ancient pacts of non-interferance with the kobolds, so life in the Kobold Ghetto remains relatively unchanged. But with any upheaval, there are those will take advantage of the chaos and hope to forge themselves a greater edge on their blade.   The kobold wing of the Red Cloaks see any outsides as a threat to their growinng power. No longer must they work long hours in the mines for feeble pay. Financed by an unknown leader, these kobold have flocked to the cause for immediate riches.   The Red Cloaks strike at the heroes before they are afforded the protection of Goldbiter but are AOE'd by Skink, leaving the alchemists unable to harass from ranged and they quickly fall.   Saying their goodbyes to Zobeck, the heroes take the 2 week ride back to Red Tower. The changes haven't made it this far yet but there is already an increase in Shadow Fey trade. They have even been able to export a Scarlet Citadel speciality: Scarlet Mead. A fun drink that makes the imbiber catch fire (though they themselves are protected from the flames).   With resolve steeled our heroes head back into the White Forest towards the Scarlet Citadel. But on their way a thick mist surrounds them...
