Session Report 024: In Which the Hasty Retreat Angers Charun
Wherein Exposition Occurs
The Knights of Khors prove their loyalty and bravery and block off the troll-kin from pursuing the heroes as they push deeper in to the old dwarven tombs. Running towards the sound of rushing washing of the Black River the party calls for the Boatsman to provide passage. Yet no coin was given, so no contract was made. Charun's avatar dumped the heroes off into a localized eddy transporting to a small town called Riverbend, which is currently undergoing a bit of elven upheaval. Froderick has been accused of killing his pregnant elven wife yet the party come upon Flax, a young boy claiming to be that child and to have been raised in the Summer Lands. He challenges the heroes for entering his inherited home and says his mother was taken an old lady and her band of goblins. Satyrs and a talking bear have taken over the Golden Knight Tavern and booted out all the humans so they may drink as they are accustomed to. Vailima makes friends with them and they offer to take her to the River Court's Spire of Baccho, largest and finest wine-storage vault ever seen by mortal eyes! Sir Oberest the Green was sent to protect the portal to the Summer Lands by outsiders but he felled in combat by Egor, though the non-fey cheated in a most uncouth manner. Searching for clues (a clue a clue!) Vorbund notices that the mill is paying tithes though this a Free Mill and should be exempt of such taxes. The Reeve Kolya falls under the party's suspicions, though he doesn't seem to be the one skimming grain. Though I suppose who else would inherit the Free Mill after Froderick is sentence to death?Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
