Session Report 022: In Which the Heroes Cause a Collapse and Put Plastic Bags Over Their Heads

Wherein Exposition Occurs

OSHA has been called into deal with some serious workplace safety violations! Lumi, understanding that trees need to fall to feed the next generation of growth, accelerates that process by shaking the foundations of the earth and collapsing a large part of the tunnel as well as an unknown amount of level 3.   Using their connections with the very trees of the land, Vailima mans the tree-i-scope and keeps her eyes on the party's 6 and sees that, at least for now, it remains safely protected by Cpt. Murmis running the Kh'nights of Khors through his patented workout routine (licensed out to the church under a generous agreement, ensuring that the Murmis Estate is well protected should any financial difficulties come to bear).   Entering a natural cavern, the heroes find glowing fungus and float blobs of water. Using the Bag of Underwater Breathing from Konrad's Trusty Wares, 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed or else He'll Sell You Something New, Lumi sticks her head into the water and finds this water is under heavy pressure, as if hundreds of feet beneath surface level. She is able to stave off any untoward effects and glimpses around around her avast ocean with faint rays of light and lurking aquatic wildlife.   Pushing deeper, the hero's identify tombs of the dwarven clan that used to reside here. Vorbund, though he would be well within his means to grave rob discover rich treasures, allows his distant kin to rest in peace and pushes deeper into the cave complex. Filled with piles of dead giant beetles, it opens into a circular cavern. A glowing figure at the center reveals itself to be a tall dead humanoid whose armor shows a glowing skeleton. Burn marks score the walls and show outlines of beetle.   Like a heavy snow, wading through these beetles husks is tough, and unbeknownst to the heroes there lies clacker beetles hiding within who attack and vibrate with incredible dexterity!   How many trollkin were killed? How many beetles lie in wait? Was it necessary to kill the owlbear cubs (think of the merchandising!)?
