Session Report 017: In Which the Heroes Confront Lady Alkava and Egor's Former Lieutenant

Wherein Exposition Occurs

  The surviving villagers are returned safely and the heroes attempt a second sortie into the Blood Vaults, this time traveling the Supplicants Path and directly towards the worship hall of Marena, the Red Goddess.   Afoot the statue to the Goddess are Gharian Flowersmasher Valu-Niago and Sister Alkava, the results of a blood pact between the goliath tribesman and the sister plain to see in the numerous blood cauldrauns. Ignoring the heroes they continue their worship of the fell goddess while a horde of skeletons protect them.   Stepping into the main porting of the grand hall causes Alkava to step forward though she continues to speak with the Red Goddess, her eyes focused on some distant object. She summons up blood from the raging cauldrons and unleashes blood magic on the heroes!
