Session Report 012: In Which the Heroes Go to the Future to Visit an Ancient Elven Library

Wherein Exposition Occurs

  Fox, the delves right into the books, searching for knowledge about his silver dragon history. Ancients texts talk of the Dread Dragon Temple which holds secrets of ancestral power. One legend that persists, however, is of a magical staff hidden deep inside the temple. If the legend is true—and it probably isn’t—this staff could transform a person into a massive dragon. As with all great treasures, the staff is guarded by ferocious, terrible monsters. Other, lesser treasures also fill the corridors of the dragon temple—but how could chests filled with diamonds and platinum compare to a device that could transform you into them mightiest of all creatures?   Returning back from the future, the heroes explore the rest of the Alchemist's Furnace to root out the rest of Danaska's stuff. Unfortunately, her research was... oozey. Multiple massive ooze cubes tried to trap and dissolve the heroes before Orla decided to befriend the Dire Gelatinous Cube and ask it to move aside.   Janzuroth interrupted a few steam mephits as they were bathing in ooze plasma, but befriended them with his flame breath. Once again the party relies on the power of friendship.   Erky ingests all the potions and receives all the buffs as they try to skirt around the summoning circle which contains the devil Baska. A deal was made between Baska and Erky, that Baska would put in a good word to Aladar if Erky would free him. Baska steps out freed but reveals he made a deal with the one who summoned him: Cagoth-ze (still MIA). That deal was that Baska would kill the intruders, and the now mouse-sized Erky looks like a great first snack.
