Session 009: In Which the Heroes Feel the Whiplash of Danaska's Emotional Outbursts

Wherein Exposition Occurs

  Danaska Maksilov is focused on making marginal improvements to the Harmonic Flux Damper in her quest for Prima Materia - the primordial building block of everything. She believed the secret to creating this was in ooze essence. Sweet delicious ooze essence. Hence her research into all things ooze related.   Having moved on from annoying the mephits, the heroes focus their attention on Danaska and her research. This only serves to agitate her as she is exceedingly protective of of the progress she has made, afraid that outsiders only want to steal from her. Vedran "sarcastically" threatens Danaska with an army and a direct assault on the Scarlet Citadel and stealing her research causes her to react violently and toss her alchemical creations at the party! The heroes cough, get stuck, get their weapons corroded and eventually they talk her down. After a few more bouts and attempts at diplomacy the heroes grow tired of her outbursts calling it the Danaska Problem.   Eric uses the Blood Dagger of Ushulx to end the Danaska Problem by sneaking up to her while Vedran distracts her with a sermon of Khors. The heroes can only deal with one person's questionable morality and have chosen Ushulx over Danaska.   Unfortunately, the demonic-imp-dragon-familiar of Danaska escaped! Where did Bastron go? First the devil Adderly assaults the group and now Bastron? What is going on here?  

Wherein Highlights of the Day Get Written and Codified Into Canon

 

• Vailima - uses sarcasm against Vedran. It's super effective!
• Eric - grows tired of the other heroes triggering the pressure plates that cause acid rain to fall down on Lumi and sticks the mechanism to put an end to the problem!
• Vedran - bonds with Ushulx as both were raised by cults but Ushulx was eventually kicked out and learned how to pick up social queues.
• Lumi - encourages Skink's further bullying, this time focusing on Vedran, jealous of the attention he gets.
