Session 000: In Which We Find Our Footing Around the Red Rocks of the Scarlet Citadel

Wherein Exposition Occurs

The ribcage of a long defeated giant form part the walls at the Cage Tavern and Inn - populat amongst adventuerers seeking to venture into the Scarlet Citadel. All good ideas begin 6 drinks deep when the mind is loosened and words merely beginning to slur together.   Beer flowed and quenched thirst while each member surveyed their assets while coming up with their plans for honor and glory. Perhaps not their wits but their bravery and strength are unrivaled in these lands and like all good adventurers, they come well equipped with an impressive array of tools.  

• Jandzuroth - A statuette of a dragon and keep belie this object's true nature: a magically created diminutive red dragon. Jandzuroth is fiercely protective of his property (The Fox).
• Ripcord Harness & Chute - Invented by the bizarre gnomish inventor Lloyd Spelloyal this back makes a great every day carry pack, capable of saving your from large drops and dragging your loot back to the tavern!
• Clemency - Commissioned by a spirit medium and left to any who would further his cause: to set to rest those trouble spirits that become the undead. Undead, bane to those living and an insult to the gods's order.

  With this, the group forms and ventures forth to accomplish great deeds.  

Wherein Highlights of the Day Get Written and Codified Into Canon

  Jandzuroth bravely scounted the ruins of the Scarlet Citadel ahead of the party but had stepped into the lair of a hungry Owlbear! As the owlbear chomped down on his head he blinked out of existance and will reform reform in 24 hours when the hourglass fills. Gru's faith in Tyr granted a shield to Yawndell and save him from being the next victim of the owlbear and it was dispatched without any further scratches.   Harpies harpies harpies! There's a reason comedy clubs have a minimum drink count, it makes you a happy customer more entranced by those on stage! Thus, the midnight, rampage fueled attack on the Scarlet Citadel lead to The Fox become absolutely entranced by the seductive voice of the harpies but eventually was able to overcome his addiction and slay the foul beast!   Descending into the depths of earth below the castle the party found a room filled with meat hooks holding human body parts!   The captives were freed but not before those in the dungeon became aware. The Crimson Ogre, Scar, pincered the party and between him, the zombies, and the Gaoler's animated torture devices the party began to bleed out. Hours later they awaken in the very cells they hoped to free others from. Desperate to find a way out, Gru makes a blood pact with a cultist of Charun - Ushulx. She does not fit in with society and even those of her religion have forsaken her. She seeks to be left alone on this level to worship Charun in her own way and offers her help to remove the Gaoler and Scar from this level.  

Splitting the party and starting a fight is actually a good thing! Reason number 5 will blow your mind!
