Session 000: In Which the Party Bumbles Its Way Into Forming a Cohesive Group

Wherein Exposition Occurs

Sages say the stars are pieces broken off of the Elemental Plane of Fire during the time of Creation and surrounding each of them are dozens of planets. Each a potential spark for life. Or perhaps new life, much like the phoenix, birthed anew in the cleansing flames. It is with these thoughts of star and flame that Lumi explores the forest in the cool of night.   Her walk leads her to Eric, searching for a breath of fresh air he hopes to find solace in quite of the forest. Though the birds don't sing at night it comforts Eric to know that even they can find peace in the wilds. A friendship if forged between the two wanderers and they return to Zobeck, their spirits raised ever so slightly.   A young hopeful voice rises above the others in the city's forum, "The souls of elementals are being stolen from their homeland and forced to create a new kind of gearforged! A new generation of slavery is among us and we take a stand against this evil!" Egor, hearing of the weak and downtrodden that need helps steps to offer whatever might he can to the matter, and Vailima.   Seeing this congregation of hopeful eyed adventurers, Vedran approaches with a job offer to help a lost merchant named Dugan Lovay and her ever-present bodyguard Red Hart. And with that, the party headed off to the location she was next to visit: Redtower.  

Wherein Highlights of the Day Get Written and Codified Into Canon

Upon entering Redtower, they quickly received an invitation to meet Mayor Wislaw Broz who has granted the party The Mayor's Authorization which will the new adventurers a discount at the town shops. He is also acting escrow for Merchant's Guild and the reward for knowledge of Dugan Lovay's whereabouts.   Konrad, a former adventurer before a stray bolt to a lower extremity, experiments with crafting magical items to sell at a reasonable price to up-and-coming groups! He has crafted a Wand of Wonder, which produces a random magical effect each time it is used. The party demanded a demonstration, whereupon he humbly oblidged and called forth the wand's powers! Only have a Fireball explode in his expensive house (filled with many leahter-bound books and smells of rich mahogany). He stared stunned about the destruction that lay before him as the party collapses into a smoldering heap. After stuffing out the fire on his beard, he began to attend the party, where only a few of them nearly bled out.   Perhaps tired of the city life, the party explored the outskirts of town and came upon Zula, the ostracized witch who lives outside the city walls and has a penchant for taxidermy and reading the entrails of squirrels. They flirted and haggled a bit and she offered to sell potions when she has extras. Since she is shunned from the city, she also requested any news about it.   Fully gathered! The party set forth to explore the upper ruins of the Scarlet Citadel - The Dungeon of Secrets!
