Captain Marcell Vanguard (a.k.a. The Scourge of the Seas)
The dread pirate of Symarrian waters and former leader of the Copper Spoon pirates, he was a charming half elf with the only thing being more sharp than his tongue and wit being his blades. Before his time as the Scourge of the Seas he spent his time working as on other pirate ships like a mercenary, taking a share of the cut before leaving to find another ship to sail with for a time.
Marcel was on the ship of Kraften Hackerd, a half-orc and merciless bastard. In this time he had kept to himself, except for a young woman he began to get acquainted with called Del. One night they began talking about the future, Marcel mentioned about if he went on to become a captain of his own ship, would Del join him? She kind of brushed it off, but that decision was soon going to have to be answered.
The next day two tiefling children were found as stowaways on Kraften's ship, the Harlot's Daughter. Being the ruthless killer Kraften was he was ready to kill the urchins without hesitation. Usually Marcel would've just let it happen, he'd be gone soon so why does it matter? But on this day, he decided that he wanted to change. For the better. He went in front of the children, drawing his blade and said that to kill these two kids you'd have to go through him.
