Worldember 2025

Worldember 2025 is my first Worldember. I started creating this world recently and am trying to shift my thoughts into these pages. I will try to spend 30 minutes a day throughout December building the Dreamlands. I hope to define the geography, establish the beings within it, flesh out the history, and possibly connect its history to that of the real world. As I am new to this I am not quite show how to progress so my plan is to start writing consistently and things should fall into place.

My inspiration for this comes from The King in Yellow, the Malevolent podcast, and all of Lovecraft´s stories involving dreams.

The goal is to create several defining geographical locations. I couple large cities and some small architectural creations scattered around. Within these cities and geographical locations I am going to create creatures that live in them. They will vary from humanoid with a similar civilization to beings that defy imagination and understanding. Then I would like to start focusing on the lengthy history surrounding this place. This includes how these cities were made, how these creatures came to inhabit these places, and how this world was created and what caused it to be created in the first place.

My Preparations Include:

• Making a playlist
• Cleaning up my work area
• Making a list of what I want to write and what it will include
• Reread some of HP Lovecraftś works
• Review all of my categories
• Rereading my core articles

I will work throughout the month of December to provide a strong baseline for this world.
