Mavis Thovian

Mavis Thovian was born in a village under the rocky waves of the Sea of Tears, the beautiful Zeyshel. From a young age Mavis knew they were destined for something different, something beyond following into religious footsteps of their parents, siblings, cousins, third cousins..well.. every Triton they knew, really.   Instead of joining the rest of the young Zeyshelath in cadet training, they would spend days wandering around the nearest coral reef picking the most beautiful mother of pearl shells and putting them in strings to create flowing robes.   There was no place for this expressive, artistic child of the sea in a place built on tradition and ritual. Mavis will forever remember the silent cloud of silver droplets slowly rising from the temple while the High Priest was blessing them to leave and pursue their dreams. These droplets were their entire family's tears.   Mavis opened their first shop, Depths of Fashion, in a young and vibrant city of Port Ffirst, and quickly became a sensation due to their unique sea-inspired style and unusual marine materials. Depth of Fashion was known for personalized approach as well as throwing most fashionable shows and parties. This of course secured a loyal following by Mavis's patrons. Their larger-than-life personality together with a wide smile and outrageously elegant demeanor left local elites gasping for air every time a new show was announced.   Mavis opened their second shop - Heights of Fashion - in Daring Heights after landing a collaboration with a Faerûnian glass blowing Ze Kalo Shantal to produce a stunning collection 'Glass Eleganza'. Using glass as the main material for refreshing, defined silhouettes, the two artists created something truly awe-inspiring. With growing popularity, Mavis knew that they need to use this moment to make real change and took a risk in putting their name down for council election to fill the seat of late Duke Kensington.   Now Mavis' family couldn't be more proud that their glamorous underwater kid is running two successful shops, creating mind-blowing (pun intended) outfits AND sit on the Council to better the lives of every Dawnlander and maybe every Kantasian.
