Basic Information

Anatomy

Underbites and other genetic mutations linked to inbreeding are common in this folk. Freakish strength comes from using their bodies rather than minds.

Genetics and Reproduction

The species reproduces as humans do gestation takes 7 months for the baby to be born and are born from wombs of their mothers just like a human child would be. They are smaller at birth so it's not so dangerous to the mother.

Growth Rate & Stages

Forrest orcs have two growth-spurts first happens after the first year. Two year-olds can be as high as a human four year-old. And second happens just as the first finnishes. There's a small window called a pup (5-6 years old) where the juvenile is aproximately 1,5 m high and really skinny looking. Then the second growth is more a growth of muscle tissue and about getting big.

Ecology and Habitats

Their caravans are found wandering the old Northern wood. They rarely travel south or outside of the forrest.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Forrest-orcs are almost exclusively carnivorous. This leads in extreme cases to canibalisation of the weak members of the group.

Social Structure

Chief decides where and what to do but all do as they please in that dirrection. They don't like autorities and have hard times respecting anyone outside their family. The family is very close due to constant interbreeding of their members.

In the past big clans were manipulated for purposes of war.

Underbites are comon. Small eyes in comparison to the face and huge bony faces look more like helmets

Underbite is a big thing for forrest-orc women. Males ussually seek out best fighter they can beat and mate.

Courtship Ideals

Male challenges female to a duel when he flicks her forehead. The duel can be bloody. Wins the side which pins the other to the ground. If female wins she can still mate the male, but generaly doesn't.

Relationship Ideals

Mate and leave be. There is no love just survival.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Orcish and elvish. Some can say few words in other languages but that's rare.

It is customary to spit on the ground when meeting the chief.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

The orcs believed that afterlife is accessible only if ones ancestors would grant it based on your life experience and since most ancestors fought the War of monsters the need to fight a great battle is sometimes neccecary. This however creates problems for neighbouring setttlements which are often targeted in such brawls.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

The old religion is practiced to some extent, but some say perverted to sue the needs of orcish warlords. But some tribes still keep the old traditions, mainly tending and singing to trees.

History

Shrouded in mistery nobody really knows or cares where they came from. Most say they are descendants of Orcs which roamed the woods hundred years before these husks. If that is true then they have comon history of glorious Kingdoms in the North and Alliance with elves against mankind.
