Black Tooth
The devil's middle finger
The thorn in the eye of every king of man the black tooth stands defiant surrounded by myths and legends of comon folk. Many a king tried to mine the black rock, but all efforts failed. Some say the last dragons hide in the roots of the mountain and eat only brave souls unwitingly walking into the trap.
Geography
The pitch black exterior of the highest mountain in secluded mountain range situated west, in the river Edge's delta. The mountain is a place of many a legend. Sailors say to see the Black tooth first thing in the morning is a bad omen. The mountain served in the past as begining of the orcish border. The river flowes through the range in a shallow bed being knee deep at the deepes. There are many fords situated near the mountain, but superstition keeps ordinary folks far away. The mountain itself is secluded from the surrounding mountain range by a rocky plain. The plain surrounding the mountain contains large quantities of obsidian shards spread across the basalt bedrock giving it the colour.
Fauna & Flora
Flies, ants and other insects can be found regurarly in the surrounding rocky plain. Occasionals black geckos can be spotted if one looks hard enough. In spring and autumn orange lichen grows on the basalt rocks near the river. This atracts moths and beetles from surrounding range.
Natural Resources
Basalt and a great deal of obsidian are found in the mountains surroundings. The material of the mountain itself is unknown although most suppose it has the same qualities as the surrounding area.
