Summer camp prep 2025

Assignment 1   Think about ways the theme of Nourishment affects your world. Do people generally have what they need? What happens when they don’t?

  Good question, which I currently don't know how to answer.

Assignment 2   Download the pledge document and fill it out with your goal for Summer Camp!

    As I am still learning and having tests during July I am being sensible by not puting too much on my plate, so Copper here we go!!  

Assignment 3   If you found any outdated articles in your world, update the most important ones now! Do the same with your worldbuilding meta.

  Quite a few articles are outdated but with the new project they are going to wait.

Assignment 1   Look at the cultures and areas you’ll focus on for Summer Camp, and think about how their past shaped them.

  I think my main focus is going to be the new project that I'm working on. As it is still in building I have not become familiar with its culture but I do know it will be vast and that it is going to be a multi verse, so alot to work with.  

Assignment 2   Go to your world’s homepage and imagine you’re a new reader discovering the setting for the first time. What should you change to make the experience more engaging?

  Already happening ;)  

Assignment 3   Find your earliest worldbuilding project. What mistakes did you make that you want to avoid? What good ideas from those early days can you integrate into your current project? Remember to take a moment to be proud of how far you've come!

  My earliest world building project was before I even knew that was a thing. It all started on Saturday afternoons playing with playmobile. As I have already writen in Growing as an author that first project has come a long way since and will continue to grow.

Assignment 1   What transformations and adaptations have the people in your world gone through? What changes are going on right now… and who is trying to stop them?

  There have been changes what they were is get to be discovered.  

Assignment 2   Choose a new genre, style, or author, and take a look at their art! Write what you learned from them and what inspired you.

  I mainly stick to the fantasy genre and I'm quite commfterble in it but I do want to venture a bit into Sci-fi. I do plan to read more of other anvalatis work.  

Assignment 3   Read a couple of articles from the community, give them a like (and why not a sticker!), and write about what inspired you.

  created by Blue Fairy 74 has very much been a great inspiration for the new project, which will be a magical multiverse of all my projects.  

Assignment 1   Think about current events that will impact the future. Who is working to create a specific kind of future?

 

Plan ahead

Writing schedule:

Like I mentioned in week 1 , I am still learning in july and the real world has gone absolutely nuts. I did create a writing schedule that puts me an about 70 words per day but mental health and not burning out are the most important.  

Writing space:

My bedroom is my writing space.  

Worldbuilding resources:

I need to do some research on scifi and work out some laws for my new world.  

Look at your stubs:

So I have.. checkes Brigid 310 stubs across 9 worlds. I'm going to go through them and try to look at the homework world by world to figure out the next steps.  

Assignment 2   Make sure everything’s ready—from your writing space to your writing schedule—before Summer Camp begins!
