The Alvain Ambassador

The bandit attack on The Barrow Farmstead could not have come at a worse time for Garfield, Mayor of Tribute. He shared with the party that an Imperial Ambassador is coming to Kaldaria, all the way from Alvantes - and most inexplicably - they have requested to tour the village of Tribute and it's surrounding countryside. A local noble visting Tribute would be more than sufficient to cause the mayor stress, but the thought of a high ranking Alvain inspecting the village has put the typically jovial mayor into a fit.

  The mayor has sworn the party to secrecy, claiming that he knows neither the nature not time that the Alvain will be arriving in Tribute. With the immortal nature of the Alvain, it is entirely possible that it could be years, or even decades before the Empire steps foot in Tribute.
