  This large and heavy backpack is not for storage but carries a small engine that can be charged either by hand or through delicate gears. Its large and heavy and the mechanics inside makes a rhythmic ticking noise. The charge a backpack holds is enough to power special weapons and gear which can be attached to the backpack with thick cords, or a single charge from the battery is sufficient to reload a weapon or piece of gear with an ammunition type of "Small Arcane Battery".    A Conduit backpack imposes SETBACK on the wielder to stealth checks due to its bulk and noise. A GM can spend DESPAIR any roll to fully deplete the backpack requiring a Hard (XXX) Mechanics check to restart.
