Cinderseed
A small white flower with a tight cluster of brown seeds at its center, the seeds rest in a state of an unstable chemical reaction and once removed and added to water the chemical reaction triggers creating a significant amount of thermal energy to be released as heat. While not enough to cause serious injury beyond superficial burns, the seeds are commonly sold and harvested as a way to heat tea or soups for travelers in between campfires.
