Case File: James, the Missing Boy, of Dawnbury

Case File: James, the Missing Boy, of Dawnbury   Approximate Date and Time of Death: May 27th, 3168 Era of Blood at around 11AM   Coroner's Report: Human boy, no more than 7 years of age... Cause of death appears to be blood loss due to several lacerations around the body. There are dozens of cuts and scrapes along the child's body, as well as a dislocated knee and missing teeth... It appears that this boy was mutilated by a group searching for information, apparently information the boy couldn't tell... Only a sick bastard would do something like this to a child...   Our party happened upon James' body after taking a bounty, one that stated that the boy had went missing a while prior and hadn't come back home. The last known location of James was by the river, halfway between Dawnbury and Portsmouth. When our party arrived at the scene, they noticed some toys dropped by the lad, as well as several tracks leading North. The party followed the tracks, eventually leading towards a Bandit camp. They enter the camp and slaughter all the men inside, finding a note on one of their bodies. It stated that they had to torture the boy so that they could find Dawnbury and plunder it, however, being so young, the boy did not know where it was exactly, leading to his death by the hands of the Bandit Captain. Begging for forgiveness by the Gods, the Captain, as well as his henchmen, all met their demise by the hands of our party.   Approaching a tent in the camp, Bianca Farless witnesses a horrible site. The young lad, mutilated by his torturers, limp in a chair that he appears tied to. Leaving the scene, the party doesn't know the kid's last name, so they just head back, defeated, and post on the bounty board that he is no longer lost and something bad happened to him. Before doing so, however, Bianca makes a makeshift grave at the foot of the river, placing the boy's toys on it as a sign of respect. She prays to the Gods in search of an answer regarding if the boy is safe now in Terra Etheria, however, there is no response. What Bianca doesn't know is that, since Yharm has been planning her revival, she has hijacked the typical process of souls being judged in Terra Quindecim, and instead has every soul that perishes sent to her.   At the foot of Yharm, the child panics, unsure of what's going on, just knowing his last moments were of pain and suffering. Yharm, however, has no empathy for the boy, and sends him to Ad Terram Condemnabitur, leaving the boy crying for his mother. In Ad Terram, he is to relive his last moments at the hands of those Bandits, over and over for the rest of eternity. The suffering, the sobbing, the fear... All for forever... This is the Fate of James, the Missing Boy, of Dawnbury...
