The Silverbear Sword

  The Silverbear Sword is an ancient magic sword, once crafted by a famous Norwode smith who imbued it with many qualities. The sword's hilt is a silver bear whose eyes glow red if an underworld or undead creature is nearby. The sword's steel can cut through any metal. The sword is supposed to have been lost by the then chieftain of the Bearwode clan in one of the clan wars 500 years ago.  

The Cauld Braes

  The fauna and flora of the Braes is very particular. Many of the species living in the mountains do not have a earth origin. They come from other worlds and were transported to Alven many millennia ago.

One of the Apex predators, The Crang, looks something like a bear and a cat. It moves with the speed and the grace of a cat, but is sturdy as a bear.

The Crangs only fear one other creature, the Denstag. The Denstag could pass as a small woolly mammoth. However, Denstags are carnivors.
They hunt in packs in the high valleys of the Braes. Their favourite preys are goats and other herbivors. They have also been known to kill humans if they can. The most famous denstag is Marvoleth, the Denstag.
