Reading Challenge 2025 - Wip
Summer Camp Experience
Not bad, not bad at all.
I managed to write 15 articles, all of which were linked to the worldbuilding I needed to move forward in tweaking the plot of the Hollow Moons.
In the past, Summer Camps, I threw the net too wide. Now, it is all focused and ready to feed into the 'story'. I also plan to continue with worldbuilding on a more regular basis, and it is all thanks to a single-player ttrpg - Ironsworn has been a game-changer for me.
By building stories around places in Alven in advance of the book characters experiencing them, the worldbuilding has become a lot more consistent and deep - that is something I was missing while writing the story, it felt all too generic and vague. So on we go with more Ironsworn (which I am calling Oathbound to match the Alven vibe).
... and I love playing Ironsworn as well. So excited for the rest of the year.
Reading Challenge
Every year, I really enjoy this part of Summer Camp. I pledge to read and write about as many articles as I can during August - well at least ten, hopefully more!
