Ipsemiki
More commonly called "Iki syrup", Ipsemiki is an Ambrosia syrup used in practically everything Hellecians eat; especially those serving aboard Star-Decks traveling through uncivilized space.
The Gods ate Ambrosia and drank nectar to drastically increase the natural production of Ichor in their bodies. Seeing as the Hellecians see themselves as the new gods and seek their own immortality, many horticulturalists and cooks have tried replicating the exact Ambrosia the gods ate.
Finding the gods' nectar was easy, since most of the flower species used by the Pantheon can be found/replicated within the "Dodonan Roots" cluster. In fact, fermented nectar is the sector's most prominent drink in the sector.
The Ambrosia has one small problem: no one knows exactly what it is.
As a result, each cluster (even individual planets) has their own version of Iki syrup; primarily made from the sugars and/or starches of a planet's cash crop reduced using an Ichor-produced flame.
Thus creating an industry of Iki syrup production, monitored by one of the Professional Guilds of Aeonite Craftspeople.
Aside from its millions of varieties, Iki syrup is the primary foodstuff in the navy of the Patrokonoi-Hellecia. On patrol outside of civilization, a Star-Deck's food supply is tenuous at best. In order to survive, these ships have to live off of food that can either be scrounged or grown.
If nothing can be found, it's either eating a salad of invasive weeds and ivys growing on the ship or coarse bread. Iki syrup is the mandatory supplement to keep a crew's Ichor output consistent.
Smeared on stale rations or fibrous salad of weeds grown onboard to improve the taste or work it down their throats, Iki syrup serves to keep a crew operation where edible food is almost non-existent.
