Character's past

Patrick was born to Margarette Sander of an unknown father, along with his twin sister Pamella   They grew up in one of the low-income districts, called the Brownstones due to the numbers of them, but they lived in a small house their mother afforded by working two and sometimes three jobs.   Patrick grew up fast in part to help pay the bills and in part because of the gangs that ruled the area and who were constantly on the kids to join and do jobs for them. Patrick stepped in to protect the kids when it was apparent they didn't want the attention, but as much as he disliked the gangs, he didn't start to actively fight them until his sister began blossoming at twelve and attract the attention of guys in the gangs.   his quiet war with the gangs led to a few things; a lot of fights, the results of which he had to keep from his mother, too many altercations with the police, but no arrest as the handful of officers who dealt with him recognized him as a 'good kid' for protecting his sister, the neighborhood kids and the neighborhood itself, the discovery he had super-powers in the form of low-grade super-strength, toughness, and increased agility. to his great chagrin, he did not get any level of super-healing. Lastly, the rescue of Richard, a hacker and low-grade gadgeteer, who'd gotten in trouble himself with one of the gangs by hacking their network, stealing and reselling the information to other gangs led to the formation of the team Richard identifies as Ghost.   Ghost is almost entirely the result of Richard's influence and the price Patrick initially has to pay to keep the hacker on a straighter and narrower path, but over the years, Ghost has become a way for Patrick to do more against the gangs while ensuring his family remained safe. The Moniker Ghost was coined by the local media after the report of a vigilante fighting the gangs led to a reporter looking into it and only getting anecdotes of someone in gray, moving like a ghost as he rescued them, and then vanishing like the same creature.   Richard has fallen in love with the name, Patrick endures it.   When their mother began receiving promotions at the factory she worked at, was forced Patrick to spend more time in school since they no longer needed the extra money, and eventually moved them to a safer neighborhood where Patrick wouldn't get into as many fights. Patrick indeed got into fewer fights as a result, but Ghost continued his fight against the gangs, but this time to keep them from getting a foothold into this new neighborhood.   Due to Richard being somewhat paranoid and agoraphobic (uncomfortable anywhere outside his home) the two interact mainly through the earwig Patrick wore initially only when being Ghost, but over time it's reached the point where he wears it all the time and Pamela amusingly refers to Richard as 'the voice in his ear'.   Much to his surprise, and some level of suspicion, He and Pamela received a scholarship to attend the Harker Academy. While reluctant to leave his mother without his protection, Pamela and Richard, and his mother convinced him to accept. the scholarship comes with everything included, from lodging in the academy dorms, which he will share with his sister, to meal allowance, and books for his classes.   Patrick plans on taking advantage of the law enforcement course the academy has with the intent of going into ballistic science with the goal of joining the FBI's forensic department.   Patrick doesn't intend on being Ghost anymore.  

Personality

Patrick is smarter than he admits. He thinks of himself as more muscle than brains. the scholarship to Harker academy puzzles him, although his school scores impressed the Dean of the academy enough she would have accepted him if he'd applied.   Patrick is a Christian.   while having to fight the gangs has shaken his faith, it hasn't shattered it. He no longer attends Mass every Sunday, but he prays regularly. Sister Rosetta is the only person outside of Pamela and Richard, who knows of Patrick, identity as Ghost.   Patrick as a thing, platonic and sexual, for father figures.  

Powers

Patrick can lift 500 lbs without straining, and push himself to 1000 bs if needed. He can shrug off most blunt impacts cause by non-super people, even using strength extended like bats and tire iron, although they will leave bruises. He hasn't tested himself against bullets because he heals at the normal speed of a human, and his increased agility and reflexes have allowed him to avoid being hit directly, suffering only grazes in his career as Ghost.  

Specialized Equipment

The Ghost Suit is mainly military surplus body armor Richard has augmented to add to Patrick's strength and toughness, the visor is what Richard is the most proud of, having given him heads-up display capability as well as a variety of added lenses and a short range radar
