Character's past

Adam Orr is one of seven brothers, sons of Donald and Daniel Orr. His childhood was relatively normal for an Orr until his super-speed kicked it when he was ten, revving his perception of time up by a few hundred. In the few minutes it took his fathers to realize what was happening to Adam, he spent years in a while where everyone was frozen still. They were able to use their telepathic powers to force his mind to slow to something closer to normal. At his slowest, Adam is four times faster than the people around him, and he has to consciously move slower to match everyone else, which he finds exhausting. As a result of the years he spent alone, Adam seeks comfort in the touch of other people. He’s learned over time that not everyone appreciates it, so he tends to rely on his family when he is particularly stressed. He has no problem letting his mind speed up when being help, enjoying the contact for days on end. Over the years since his power kicked in, Adam has stopped a few crimes he happened to run by, rescued people, and on the whole gaining a reputation among the San Francisco population as a minor hero names Streak, by the media. His brother nicknamed him Steaker. For other reasons.

Adam is impatient. The world moves too slow for him, literally.

Adam has super-speed. the upper limit of which hasn't been tested because no lab has work fast enough to keep him from getting bored and moving on to something else
