Sol’nus, Lun’nus, and Exa’nus notice that Gaii’nus sorrows despite the world’s beauty. They agree Sol’nus should learn the cause of her hidden grief.
1.1.009(Sp), The Three’s Concern:
While Sol’nus, Lun’nus, and Exa’nus devoted themselves to their work, they soon realized that their beloved sister, Gaii’nus, appeared to be unfulfilled, her heart heavy with an unspoken sorrow. Concerned for her well-being, they gathered together and resolved that it would be wise to send Sol’nus, the oldest and brightest among them, to inquire after her spirit and ascertain what troubled her heart.
1.1.009(Su), Sol’nus voice his worry:
So it came to pass that Sol’nus journeyed to Gaii’nus, finding her nestled in a sunlit meadow, a tapestry of blossoms and creatures surrounding her in a riot of color. Butterflies flitted about, and the laughter of animals filled the air, yet despite this beauty, Gaii’nus radiated a melancholy that dimmed the brilliance of the day. “Oh, sweet sister,” Sol’nus called gently, his golden rays glistening upon her. “It is clear to all beings in this world that thou hast sorrow in thy heart. Pray tell, what in this great world possesses the power to weigh thy heart down?”
With a smile that was both tender and tinged with sadness, Gaii’nus replied, “Oh, dear brother, great indeed is the world our father has created, but within my heart lies a painful emptiness. The life that Uro’nus has birthed—the animals, the landscapes—they are wondrous, yet they possess not the depth of purpose I long to see. They lead simple existences, devoid of meaning. I wish to gift them something—a spark of awareness, a breath of connection.”
1.1.009(Au), Sol’nus’s pleading:
Sol’nus, feeling the weight of his sister’s sorrow, was moved deeply. Understanding the longing for a richer existence, he hurried to where their father had created the grand city born of Uro'nus's dreams. With love in his voice and hope in his heart, he approached Uro'nus and spoke earnestly, “O father, the world you have created may be bursting with life, yet Gaii’nus deeply feels the emptiness among those living. She sees their lives as fragile and fleeting, lacking the essence of connection and meaning.”
Uro'nus, who had listened intently, recognized the truth in Sol’nus's words. There was love woven into the intricacies of their family, and it echoed in the longing of Gaii’nus. With a thoughtful nod, he declared, “You speak wisely, my son. Love is what sustains existence; therefore, we shall create a new creature in our likeness, imbued with purpose and spirit, to walk upon the earth and explore the vastness of the world—let us create the Kind, the first of the people from whom all others will descend.”

With that sacred decision made, Uro’nus called forth the essence of creation, intertwining the elements of their beings—wisdom, beauty, strength, and compassion. He breathed life into the Kind, a people of two distinct natures, endowed with the gift of thought and the weight of choice, capable of love and purpose akin to their divine creators.
As Uro'nus prepared to impart his wisdom to the newly formed Kind, he summoned them to gather before the majestic gates of the city he had envisioned. Upon their arrival, the vibrant colors of their skins gleamed in the light of Sol’nus above, and the energy of potential radiated from them. “I sense that thou art not all of the same mind,” he began, his voice resonating with the power of the cosmos. “Some among thee wish to explore the wonders of the world I have crafted, while others prefer the warmth and security of the city I have fashioned. Today, I offer thee a choice: stay outside these grand gates and wander the untamed lands or follow me, along with my children, into the sacred city of Ava'rinn.”
As his words hung in the air, a palpable tension arose among the Kind, their hearts racing with anticipation. With reverence and trepidation, they contemplated the choice before them, aware that it was irreversible. In that moment of decision, the Kind split into two distinct groups: those who embraced the call of adventure and the unknown, the Man-Kind, remained outside the gates, yearning to forge their own destinies in the flourishing world beyond. Meanwhile, the Fae-Kind, a group entranced by the idea of closeness to the gods and the luminous city, chose to follow Uro'nus and his children into the illuminated halls of Ava'rinn, eager to partake in the divine tapestry that awaited them.
