The Corpse Woman

After the events that transpired during Ilgor's Ceremony of Bhal during here induction in to the Priestess-ship of the Clan she had seen a woman that look every much like one of here people. However, this woman was emaciated, flitting from shadowed corner of dream born caves stalking her throughout her entire ceremony. Despite that the woman was smote repeated by her god Bhal, she returned.

In hindsight, Ilgor realized her fear had dictated the vast majority of her reactions during the Blessing. Only by looking back did she hear the words this corpse had spoken to her "Only me, only me, only me...". Was she reaching out from beyond distant shores? Was she reaching through her dream to not be alone? Was she desperate to see another soul? This spirit, this entity, this... she could never come up with a proper name for it. It looked dead, she barely able to do more than crawl toward her, though Ilgor knew somewhere in the back of her mind that this entity was very much alive.

When Ilgor had completed her Ceremony and was inducted properly into the title of Priestess, she had found two things had happened. The first being that she was a, by far, stronger caster than she had ever been before. Abilities awakened during the Ceremony were not uncommon, but to the degree they were realized in Ilgor was without precedent. Mother Kari would often describe Ilgor's ability to be that of the Priestess of old, only read about in their holy book.

The second was that this corpse had followed her into the waking world. She was terrified of it, it would continue to stalk her dreams, appearing before just after waking in the real world. Sitting there, but never speaking. It took weeks of having this thing be her shadow before it spoke to her, it was then that Ilgor noticed that its skin didn't look as dry, its eyes fuller. She had begun to think this thing was healing, and she would be proven correct in time.

The precious few conversations with this entity proved to Ilgor that it wasn't malevolent. It only had an extraordinarily difficult time communicating, in one moment showing Ilgor the massive scar across its neck. The entity could never speak for long without needing weeks of rest afterward.

To the entity, she had spent many long hours just speaking with Ilgor while she slept. Whispering lessons arcane and faithful to her, soothing her nightmares from the trauma of the Ceremony she had endured. Granting her improved memory of happier times, deepening her connection with her and the rest of the clan. She only wished to see Ilgor grow, she needed her too.

This entity had Tethered itself to her during this ceremony. An ancient force not seen by the goblins in eons. She was known to them back when the goblins were different people. Vilorlith had chosen a champion, after being lost in an endless starry sea. The Ceremony being the catalyst this fallen Goddess needed to see clearly the magnitude of what Shadow: Wrath had done. She had chosen Ilgor, she saw her chance to not only save her children, but to begin the arduous journey to regain her power.
