Bhal is a god of domination, and great conquest. He embodies the great ambitions of the mortal races, of all beasts, and all cursed creations. He makes no claim to any of these mortals. He had no hand in making them. He arose of the collective thoughts of these mortals, to fulfil their ambitions, great and small. Or so they are told. This however took on a pure form, meaning there was nothing to stop ambition. Unchecked this concept, filled with the countless wants good and evil, created a Deity of conquest. Or so they were told.
He is generally considered an evil god, though a god of ambition can also do great good. He has been known to prop-up fledgling freedom fighters and see to it that they succeed. He also has helped pious kings quell the cancer of corruption from their cities. He helps all who have ambition, whether it be the the greatest vineyard, to healing the people, to being the strongest warlords, to assisting those who want immortality. Ambition is his realm, and he will see it realized.
Yet, he is a lie. Bhal, like all Eight gods of the Tree, is a Shadow. Known by many names, the Conqueror, the King, Ambition. Yet, to those who are old enough to remember, he is Wrath. He is Hate. He is Fury. Shadow: Wrath is what he is known by those who learned his namesake. With that, he is far more that what is known to be. A darkness that man follows like a moth to a flame. Great Ambition comes from many sources...

He stole this symbol from Vilorlith after he slew her in her final stand in the Citadel, but not before taking her children and corrupting them before her eyes. He took everything from her in his blind hatred of her, never seeing her as anything more than a Demon. A cruel creature he is, stole her voice, stole her children, chained them to himself, stole her skies and her power.
