Birth of a Lion
During The War for Midranor at the great fortress city Kirnborg, a siege by the armies of the Nine Hells had begun to slowly break through the great walls. In desperation, a volunteer army of 101 members where tasked to go beyond the remaining walls, into the lost territory now filled with devils, and cause as much damage as they could.
Members of the first oath
Torch
His skin that's red as fire and his beliefs burning hotter than the Hells, Torch is the embodiment of his name. Before the war and battles begun he was on the outskirts of society as many feared his affinity to fire, fearing he would somehow burn down their homes uncontrollably. Once the siege started and he joined the 101st, instead of asking him to be careful, they wanted his fire to burn more and more until it could even harm the devils.
Heirol
Heirol is the son of the warhero Mars that died during the first assault trying to protect people fleeing into the city. Although he was only an apprentice knight, he took up the sword of his father and swore to avenge his father and protect the people. He now charges through the hordes of devils, leading the others of the 101st.
Kadrix
Before the war started, Kadrix was a simple wizard during routine work on the wards of the city ensuring that they held against the common attacks from giants. He had always been a bit peculiar about wards and abjuration magic trying to push his own limits. Now that war was upon the city, he refused to remain in the back lines and instead took the opportunity to do something special.
Chapter 1: Siege of Kirnborg
The 101st are forced to somehow turn the tide of the siege. Although they might not have been the strongest, their determination and dedication causes their spirits to rise and their bodies to be pushed beyond their natural limit, forcing them to become stronger. They do not know what needs to be done, but the tide of the battle has not been entirely on their side. Open map to view locations of missions.
When they where sent out at first, the hope they would succeed was low. No matter how strong they where the odds where against them.
When the walls fell, a great burned had lifted and hope began to swell in the hearts Kirnborg. The devils would not use the cities defenses against them.
Not only where they successful, but most of the 101st survived and where able to go into hiding and prepare for further action. Before they had realised it, hope now hung on their shoulders.
The devils tried to make a path, a way for them to move their siege weapons to the second wall. The 101st denied them yet again, killing off their officers and causing confusion among their ranks. The devils started to show signs of weakness.
