Dartar

One after another, each lower than the last, Dartar is split into six islands, each unique and fantastic. The highest is the smallest. It is called the Basin and holds a sea of water that runs in a waterfall, onto the other islands. It flows down onto the second island. This is Skyreach, or the pillar of Heria, as some call it. It is made up of several spiking peaks and a twisted peak, dotted with caves and ice. The third down is a huge city, centered around a monastery and a huge garden filled with any crop imaginable. It is called Tiratus after its first ruler, Tiratus the Great. Below that is the beautiful city of Prismis. This city is made up of many crystalline towers and holds many smiths and artists. The next is Osia, ruled by King Joy VI. Osia holds two opposing religious groups, Dirism and Kentism. The final island holds a smaller city, filled with people who love the wildlife of Dartar.

Geography

The center island is often referred to by the colossal mountain that sits on it. The basin is an amazing sight to behold. A roaring waterfall flows into a river, spanning across one of the outlying islands, and rushing down into the endless void below. The river is called The River of Flames and it is sacred land. The water is relied on by all the islands it runs on. The Ulixi perform rituals to keep the water from pouring completely out of the basin and no matter how much it pours, the water never runs out. The river is the only source of water in Dartar. The islands that get progressively lower are called Heria's Steps.

Localized Phenomena

Sometimes in the night, I can hear the winds from Skyreach blowing down and whistling between the islands.   -Garhetael Basthaert, a Datartarian adventurer
There is a wind storm at the top of Skyreach at all times and the wind blows down sometimes to make a breeze through the trees or whistle when it blows against the stone in the islands. The storm is sometimes just strong gusts of wind, but sometimes, it is a full-out blizzard. The rocks sometimes break free and cause avalanches in their wake, destroying and towns that are too close.

Climate

Dartar is a world with a relatively warm climate all year round. Even in the winter season, as it snows lightly, the temperature stays warm.

Fauna & Flora

The flora is mostly trees and flowers with tall grass. Most of the thick forests are just around Skyreach, with fields and small hallows farther out. There are deer, bears, wolves, wild boars and rabbits, and much more. Flowers are famous for being beautiful there and there are more than one thousand types. There are many humans there too, that occupy the city-states and other villages in the wild. There are also dwarves and Ulixi. The entire Dwarf, Human, and Ulixi populations are all at a medieval level of technology

Natural Resources

Iron is very abundant in Skyreach but it is protected land and there is no mining. There are fields around the city-states that produce huge amounts of wheat every year. The forests are hunted by the city-states, with large amounts of fine meats being collected.

History

Once there was a creation of the void that appeared from its swirling winds and colorful skies. It was called Heira It grew its knowledge and soon rose to be a great god lucid. She let her heart free and it formed stone and soil. Plants sprouted and Skyreach rippled up, and out of the center island. She decided that if there was life, there would have to be water, and she created a bowl that poured water down, onto the land. Heria ruled the land from her palace for a while, before the void took her back into its arms.
