The Grail Knights

999.m41 - The Guilded Kingfisher bore its famed Rogue Trader, captain Thaddeus Roquefort along with his mystic Navigator Nikola Pavlova into the Medusa System of the Ultima Segmentum. Their mission was to initiate trade with the Drukhari of the Witchhelm Society for desperately needed technology that would help maintain the Emperor of Man's Golden Throne.

For unknown reasons, the Drukhari cruiser The Black Lash, opened fire on and destroyed The Gilded Kingfisher before a deal could be reached, resulting in the death or capture of most of her crew. This would have meant an end to Thaddeus and Nikola if not for intervention by the enigmatic Drukhari raider known as Lux sweeping through the wreckage and saving their lives.

Deposited on a secret Inquisitorial shipyard within the nearby asteroid belt, Thaddeus and Nikola began a chain of events that would see the discovery of an advanced frigate known as the Green Knight, a heretical piece of technology forged by unknown agents for a secret purpose. Activation of the ship has drawn together a group of unlikely Imperial allies and their retinues who now call the Green Knight their home.

As the shadow of war grows over the Medusa system, the Green Knight and her new crew must survive, and learn to thrive, while battling the many enemies of the Imperium while solving the mystery of their new ship and in time, the rest of the Grail Knight fleet.
