The Urkurs

Urkur are humanoids much like all other races within drakenelm, having four limbs those being two legs and two arms. They are a very muscular and heavily built folk, able to quickly burn any fat they gain and are thus very vascular. Their skeleton's bones are very thick to support their heavy bodies, leading them to be quite wide as well. They have two sets of hands and two sets of feet who each have five phalanges. Females have two sets of breasts, unlike the regular one set of many other races.

Urkur use the standard form of insemination of other races, through the use of penetration of phallus. What is different however is that females are far more likely to produce twins or other higher amount of children than other races, and only have a pregnancy period of about 6 months. Due to their four breasts, it is not uncommon for females to immediately get pregnant a few days after birth, as their bodies are able to support a larger amount of children.

Children start off small, yet grow very quickly and have a puberty like stage much earlier than other races, with girls beginning their maturity at about 8, and males starting at 10, with both finishing their maturing at about the age of 15 when they are counted as adults

The urkur primarily inhabit the lands of the savannah, as it is the environment that is most comfortable for them. It is not uncommon for certain tribes to move up north into the forests, but it is very rare for any to live in any cold environments, as their bodies don't hold fat for long and thus are unable to insulate their heat.

Urkur are an omnivorous, with their strong digestive system allowing them to consume a lot of food and a larger variety of food than other races. Their primary diet is that of dried meat and various herbs throughout the savannah, some of which are uneatable to other races either because of taste of because of being poisonous for all except the urkur.

Due to that there are more males than females that are born in Urkur society, it means that those of the female sex are incredibly important and valuable, which has led to Urkur society being very matriarchal where the females lead the tribes and clans. Due to how much fewer females there are, females generally have a higher rank in their tribes than most males, and the competition for marriage and birthing rights can be tough for the males.   As there are fewer females and more males, it has caused competition to be very common when it comes to choosing the male suitors for a female. Some can be simpler, such as that of strength competitions or urkur wrestling. Regardless of what is done, the purpose is simply to weed out the weaker males and to find the strongest males who will give the female good children.

Urkur's senses are overall average for a race, all except for their sense of smell. An urkur is able to smell things from much greater distances than other races, which helps them survive in the savannah, and thus can easily smell the scent of animals or of strong smelling flowers that grow close by water.
