Oceans & Seas of Sumarch

Sea, the foundation of civilizations

Two oceans are surrounding this mainland, Y’yoth and Icarus, plus 7 seas, which has created a great waterscape for Sumarch.
 

Icarus Ocean➢

Named after the ship that Mezeala Annabeth was on when she found this area during her expedition.   Locate in the North on the world map. It‘s a sunny-tropical home for uncountable marine species, some of them even become a signature for aquatic life in Sumarch, like cute little Sunbeam Fish and endangered Seabed Tree that you couldn't find anywhere else.   Consist of 7 seas, the Icarus ocean has been played a huge part in the economy of many kingdoms in Sumarch. As well as control the climate of this landmass.
 

Y'Yoth Ocean

Lay from the Northwest to the middle. Being the largest out of four, Y'yoth Ocean is the first one to be found and used for transportation for over a hundred years.   An ocean that has two climates, colder in the South and hotter in the North. Some locations in this ocean are infested with monsters, the rests are rather peaceful. Here you can observe the plentiful and distinct marine world, like a group of Blushing Fish swimming gracefully in the water, or a dazzling Spectrum Jellyfish.  
Y’yoth Ocean connects with 2 other big seas: Icarus and Corial’gal. Make it come to be a crucial marine route for transporting. Some material sources come from this place also a great income for many people as well, for example, mining Haze Pearlstone for decoration and architecture.
 

Mottearean Sea

Also found by Mezeala on her expedition. Renowned by pearls, this sea lay between Sumarch mainland and the East Sumarch.   The weather here is usually arid and sunny. Very few threatening monsters are settled in this area. Instead, this place is lively by tropical aquatic creatures.   Mottearean is full of potential in the economy, also an important trading route between the mainlands and East Sumarch.   Currently, Hevera and Ishraa are debating with each other for the ownership of Mottearean Sea.
 

Leila Sea

Raugrin Triome by Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths
A sea belonging to Uniquosria. Found when the chief of elf - Irkma, escaped the dense Fixiel forest.   This was a lake before, although when Y'yonmogg devastated Sumarch, its tail slammed on this place, crushed the earth and create a huge pit. Many years passed, ocean's water slowly fill this hole, finally created the Leila Sea.   Leila Sea is heavily affected by magic due to the Rune Incident, resulting in its extraordinary landscapes and odd creatures. Surprisingly, even lots of sea animals here are mutated, this place is still peaceful and charming.   This area is on a political dispute between Uniquosria and Orlrolux.
 

Hongtu Sea

Claimed by an unknown sailor. A vastly water that goes along Xiqueng, connect with Mottearean Sea. Occasion with Laterite, which it named after.   Under the water, is a whole biosystem with mesmerizing faunas and floras. But be careful enough, lots of monsters also exist here. Hongtu Sea's warm temperature also helps it become a place for varieties of Tuntle and Chelna laying eggs.   An area famous for Laterite and Carmerite, this sea is mainly used for mining these minerals. Besides that, fishery is thriving either.
 

Bungjog Sea

A cold sea lies on the North of Nangji. Famous in the world of pirates.   Due to the chilling temperature of it, Bungjog's sea habitats are not various like other seas, but instead, more uncommon types of fauna and flora are populate in this place. This sea is also well-known with Water Ginseng.   As said above, Bungjog Sea is well-known for Water Ginseng, as well as being the biggest farming area for it. Moreover, it is unknown why Bungjog Sea is a common area for pirates in the first place, but here is a good location for trading treasures and rare items.
 

Iron Sea

Formerly a gulf of Mottearean Sea that belong to Silvering Kingdom today.   Iron Sea is confirmed to be the smallest sea in Sumarch. So the underwater biosystem here is normal and not too distinct from another one.   Still, the Iron Sea take a huge part in alchemy in Silvering, it can provide an unlimited source of water for forging and chemical reaction. Furthermore, an area for trading and delivering many goods and productions from this developed empire.
 

Mizuki Sea

Claimed by the Oro Shogun after the Kitsure empire defeated Orlrolux kingdom in the Blood Petal War.   Mizuki Sea is famous for its native species, including both passive and aggressive. Also, this sea is on the list of the top most dangerous waters as well, due to many "youkai", or mythical monsters, are usually making an appearance.   Labeled as The Golden Sea, it's not wrong 'cause the Mizuki Sea is a huge seafood supply for this nation and a valuable marine route to another region in Sumarch. And with its big native species number, people here can have exclusive exportation for rare sea creatures.
 

Chalkros Sea

Chalkros Sea is tied with many legends, epic stories and bloodshed wars. Claimed by Ruler Phoibe before Reincarnation and re-claimed by Ruler Heliros.   Here is a home for a lot of tropical fishes and vegetables. Kreotoellis Seaweed - a priceless ingredient in medicine, is only growing at and near this area.   Chalkros Sea is the major income source for Fasmagloria because this nation's big cities are mainly coastwise.
 
Amysterious water, engulfed in darkness and chaos. Abandoned by every kingdom or empire. This place is infested with deadly monsters that will tear anything down in their eyesight to fullfill their bloodthirstiness.
