Morrigan's Rooms
The War-Keeper Citadel has foundations that reach deep into the stone of Talon Peak, forming a vast network of dungeons, rooms and hallways that don't see much use in the modern day. Most of them are sealed off to prevent breaches in the citadel or due to lack of structural integrity.
Empress Morrigan has commandeered several rooms in the lower levels for personal use. After having the rooms renovated and outfitted with modern crystal laboratory equipment, bar one which almost appears to resemble a living room, with seating and a record player. Once the rooms were finished, Morrigan forbade access.
While Morrigan did occasionally use the labs for more illicit crystal experiments, the true purpose of the labs was even darker than that. That's reason enough for these labs to stay hidden, but she was also using these labs to raise the dead.
Necromancy is a very dangerous and taboo branch of magic. Reanimating a corpse and leaving it open for something Else to enter and ihabit it is forbidden in most kingdoms, with the punishment being death. For Talon Peak's own Empress to do such a thing, and to do it in order to reanimate the corpse of a deceased Champion, would cause such an outroar that the very foundation of the Talon Empire would be shaken as a result.
