Eldritch Avatars
Gods, fundamentals, elemental avatars, call them what you will. The Eldritch are ancient forces that roam beyond the sky and watch the world with varying levels of interest. Without them, many forces of nature from the earth to the winds to the clouds would not exist, and paradoxically they would not exist without the very forces they create. The avatar of death is death, the avatar of the winds is the wind itself. They are also other things, though many people view or worship them as individual aspects of nature, if they worship them at all.
